Good article. The problems you stated are the reasons I have changed my business model to the type you suggested.


Great advice! My consulting activities, working with start-ups, have been professionally rewarding but financially disappointing. Your points really hit home and are well taken.


But isn't working as a consultant considered as being a 'service'?

Maybe consultants can negotiate a revshare with the startup. If you really believe the potential of the business, I think it's not bad if sometimes you'll get a deal like this one.
